Threads Lets Users Swipe Between Feeds from the Home Page
Threads is rolling out an updated design for both iOS and Android. The update keeps the different feeds — For You, Following, and any custom feeds — visible on the home screen, making it easy for users to swipe between them.
Why It Matters: Under pressure from BlueSky, Meta is delivering another feature inspired by decentralized apps.
By keeping feeds visible on the home screen and enabling effortless swiping between them, users can quickly access the content they want. This is especially beneficial, as each feed offers unique advantages — such as the "Following" feed, which helps users stay up to date with content from accounts they follow, while Custom Feeds allow users to curate content from specific accounts and topics they care about.
This follows a marathon of updates from Threads in recent weeks, including support for landscape videos, the ability for users to set their default feed, adjustments to the ranking system to prioritize content from accounts users follow, and the expansion of Custom Feeds.
