TikTok Announces New Integration with Lemon8 Featuring Unified User Login

TikTok has announced a new integration with its sister app, Lemon8. While Lemon8 will remain a separate platform, creators can now use a unified login to access both TikTok and Lemon8. TikTok users can also link their Lemon8 profile directly on their TikTok account, making cross-promotion easier.

Why It Matters: This integration allows creators to seamlessly share photo content across both platforms, enhancing their reach and engagement. It also aligns with TikTok’s push into photo content, including rewarding creators who share it and testing a photo-sharing feature called TikTok Notes in select regions.

Lemon8 initially gained traction after launching in the US and UK last year, but its momentum has since slowed. In response, the platform has introduced new features, such as easier ways for creators to share their Lemon8 profiles, to grow its user base and drive adoption.
