Threads is now showing new Recent and Popular Topics options for search. The former shows recent terms users search while the latter highlights popular topics across the platform. Tapping on them will direct users to the search results featuring relevant posts. They can filter by Top, Recent, and Profiles. 

Why It Matters: Between revisiting previous searches and exploring popular topics, these aid users in discovering content. It provides a balance between content relevant to their interests in real time while staying updated on what’s popular across the Threads community.

Threads is steadily adding new ways for users to discover content. Other notable additions include testing the ability to share custom feeds and launching more Profile Collections.
