LinkedIn has quietly added a "Where You Appeared" section to Profile Appearances analytics. This section provides a breakdown of the specific sources—such as Posts, Network Recommendations, Search, and Comments— for instances where a user’s name and headline appear across LinkedIn.

Additionally, there are shortcuts to help users increase their profile appearances, such as starting a post, commenting on a post, or updating their profile.

Why It Matters: The more a user’s profile appears, the greater their visibility. By seeing a detailed breakdown of where their profile is surfacing, creators can identify which sources are driving the most visibility and have the opportunity to amplify those areas further based on what’s working best.

For example, if a user notices that a high percentage of their Profile Appearances are coming from leaving comments on posts, they may decide to focus more on commenting, especially if crafting and sharing posts to the feed is challenging for them.
