Threads Rolls Out The Option To Hide Likes and Share Counts on Posts

Threads

Meta has rolled out the option to hide likes and share counts on Threads posts. Users now have the 'Hide like and share counts' option when tapping on a post, updating from only being able to hide likes previously. Users can also set this as the default in their Settings, hiding their likes and share counts for both Threads and Instagram posts.

Why It Matters: This subtle yet useful update, especially for creators who wish to hide their engagement metrics for various reasons, such as feeling less pressure to post. While hiding posts is common on Instagram, this feature might be less utilized, given the distinct engagement expectations with Threads posts compared to Instagram, at least for now.
