LinkedIn Is Testing a Key Video Trends Feature to Highlight Video Trends in the Video Tab & Carousels

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is starting to test a new Key Video Trends feature with users in the U.S. Across the Video tab and Video carousels in the feed, it will highlight videos related to current trends like workplace stories, industry news, job and career topics, and more.

On the Video tab, trends will appear at the top of the video player (e.g., How I Use AI, Generation Myths, etc.), and users can tap on them to see videos related to the trend. In the Video carousels, videos will be highlighted based on specific trends, such as A Day in the Life, where users can scroll horizontally to watch them.

Creators will be able to create videos based on these trends, with the potential for LinkedIn’s editorial team to select and feature them.

Why It Matters: With these tests, LinkedIn is bringing more curation to its video experience. This will make it easier for users to find relevant video content on timely and trending topics while also allowing them to contribute their own videos, share their perspectives, and reach new audiences.

This comes as LinkedIn recently revealed that it is running multiple video-related tests, including adding new placements and removing others across different regions.
