Facebook is looking to cash in on the power of Influencer marketing. According to several reports, the social media platform is currently working on its own Influencer marketing platform. With a tool called Branded Content Matching, the company will help "advertisers and creators easily connect for branded content opportunities."

The tool will consist of three features: Search, Suggested Creators, and Saved Lists.

Search will allow brands to look for Influencers based on their audience demographics, Suggested Creators provides brands with Influencers that fit a similar demographic as previous searches, and Saved Lists provides brands with a list of Influencers they have worked with and their respective statistics.

This news shouldn't come too much as a surprise. In a March blog post, Facebook revealed that it would be working on new ways to bring advertisers and creators together:

"In the coming months, we’re going to explore two new monetization features for creators. First is a tool that helps advertisers and creators easily connect for branded content opportunities on Facebook. Creators participating in the test can set up a portfolio highlighting their area of expertise, and advertisers can search and find creators to collaborate on compelling branded content campaigns. :

Details are relatively scarce so there isn't any word of when this platform will be launching, but when it does, it will certainly have an impact on Influencer marketing.

In other social media news, Instagram announced a new feature that will let you share feed posts in Stories.
