YouTube Makes Paid Promotion Label Available on Both Mobile and Desktop

YouTube / Paid Promotional Label

YouTube has expanded its Paid Promotional label.

What’s New

Previously, the label was available only for Shorts on mobile and long-form videos on desktop. Now, creators can use the label across both Shorts and long-form videos on both mobile and desktop.

Improved Transparency for Viewers

With fewer restrictions, creators can use the tool to properly disclose paid partnerships regardless of where they're creating content and uploading it from and what type of content they’re creating — whether its short-form or long format. This will help lead to more cases where creators are being transparency and adherence to advertising guidelines.

eMarketer / Marketing Strategies on YouTube

It’s a timely update, as 45.9% of marketers are using YouTube for their influencer marketing this year. Plus, influencer marketing on YouTube is the most popular strategy that marketers use on the platform, with 26% using it versus 25% for organic content marketing and just 14% for paid advertising.
