Similar to YouTube's Super Chats, Super Stickers allow fans to support and connect with their favorite creators during live streams and Premieres by purchasing animated stickers. At launch, YouTube is offering an eight sticker pack with five of them featuring animated cartoons that span across different categories such as gaming, fashion and beauty, sports, music, food, and more. These stickers are available for purchase at a price point between 99 cents and $50.
For creators to be eligible and receive funds from their fans, they must be at least 18 years old and have a monetized channel with more than 1,000 subscribers in supported markets.
The launch of Super Stickers exemplifies YouTube’s recent commitment to expanding the ways that creators can monetize their content. Over the last year, the Google-owned platform has launched channel memberships, merchandise, and Premieres, which have allowed creators to make money beyond just advertisements on their videos.
