TikTok Introduces Support for Casting So Users Can Watch Content on TVs

TikTok/Google

TikTok has introduced casting support for TikTok content from phones or tablets. Under the 'Share' button on a video, users have the option to cast LIVE videos to Chromecast with Google TV or TVs with Chromecast built-in.

Why It Matters: As last year showed, TikTok and YouTube are investing heavily in bringing their content to experiences beyond mobile devices. This update continues that trend for TikTok, which also recently updated the viewing experience of its app on tablets and foldable gadgets.

With Chromecast support, viewers now have a new option to watch their favorite TikToks on larger screens, especially for communal viewing, a trend gaining popularity among younger generations.
