Meta Introduces New Content Planning and Insights Tools for the Threads Desktop Experience
Meta has announced updates for the Threads desktop experience for creators and brands. These updates include:
Insights: Access new metrics such as views, replies, reposts, and quotes on posts, and track follower growth and demographic makeup (age, gender, location) over time.
Multiple Drafts: Save up to 100 drafts to manage content planning more efficiently.
Reorder Pinned Columns: Drag and drop columns, including Insights, to customize the layout.
Scheduling: Schedule posts in advance to maintain a consistent posting schedule.
These features are rolling out to users now, except for Scheduling, which will be available soon.
Why It Matters: These updates provide creators and businesses with tools to plan, post, and analyze their content more effectively.
The ability to save multiple drafts and schedule posts allows for a consistent content cadence, helping build a stronger presence. Insights enable users to understand their posts' performance, offering the opportunity to identify what content performs best and optimize for future posts. This should also help bring more creator-brand partnerships to Threads, as creators can share performance and demographic data with brands during the pitching phase of an influencer marketing campaign.
Since launching the desktop experience about a year ago, Threads has introduced several updates that make it easier for creators and brands to manage and build their presence on Meta’s text-based app, including an API for third-party apps.
