Meta Announces New Updates for Reels Advertising Products
Meta has recently unveiled several updates for its Reels advertising products. These updates aim to enhance the advertising experience and offer more opportunities for advertisers to reach their target audience. Here's a breakdown of what’s new:
Expanded Ads on Reels: Meta is now allowing more advertisers to run image ads on Instagram Reels without disrupting the viewer's experience. Previously, Ads on Reels were limited to Facebook only.
App Promotion Ads: Meta is introducing App Promotion Ads, previously known as App Install Ads, to both Facebook and Instagram. This feature enables advertisers to showcase their apps using the Reels format, encouraging users to download and engage with them.
Music Optimization in Facebook Reels: Meta is testing a new feature called music optimization for Facebook Reels. Advertisers can utilize this option during campaign creation through Creator Editor or Advantage+ Creative. It enables them to incorporate high-quality music from the Meta Sound Collection library into their single-image Reels ads, making them more entertaining and engaging. Meta states that Reel ads with both music and voiceover receive a more positive response compared to those without sound.
Brand Suitability Inventory Filter and Third-Party Verification: Meta is piloting its brand suitability Inventory Filter and third-party verification solution in partnership with Zefr on Facebook and Instagram Reels. Select advertisers will have greater control and transparency over their ads, ensuring they align with their brand image.
With these updates, Meta aims to empower advertisers to leverage the growing popularity of Reels across Facebook and Instagram. The introduction of App Promotion Ads and music optimization provides additional tools for advertisers to enhance their campaign performance and captivate their target audience. Furthermore, the brand suitability Inventory Filter and third-party verification solution offer advertisers more control and transparency over their ads.
