LinkedIn Rolls Out Custom Date Ranges and Expanded Newsletter Analytics

LinkedIn Custom Date Ranges

LinkedIn

LinkedIn officially announced two new product updates in a post by Gyanda Sachdeva, VP of Product Management.

First, LinkedIn introduced Custom Date Ranges in Analytics. Users can now select custom date ranges to track the performance of their posts based on impressions and engagements. Previously, they were limited to preset timeframes (7, 14, 28, 90, and 365 days). Now, they can input a start and end date for more precise tracking.

Second, LinkedIn added new analytics for Newsletters. This includes Email Sends and Open Rate, both of which I spotted earlier. Email Sends shows how many times a newsletter article has been sent via email, while Open Rate tracks how often it has been opened.

Why It Matters: The Custom Date Range feature gives users more flexibility to analyze content performance over a specific timeframe instead of being restricted to LinkedIn’s default options. This is especially useful for creators who want to showcase their performance to potential brand partners and want to highlight a specific timeframe.

The new newsletter analytics offer deeper insights into how subscribers engage with long-form content both on LinkedIn and via email. It also gives creators more visibility into how many people are actually receiving and opening their newsletters.
