LinkedIn Adds A More Prominent Follow Button in the Immersive Video Feed

LinkedIn added a more prominent Follow button on videos displayed in its immersive, video feed.

How It Works

When viewers stop to watch a video in the feed for a few seconds, an additional "Follow + [creator’s name]" button will appear below the video caption. Tapping this allows viewers to follow the creator directly.

Why It Matters

While many creators, including myself, have seen strong video viewership, converting these views into dedicated followers can be inconsistent. This new "Follow" button addresses this gap by prompting viewers to follow creators as they consume video content.

With video viewership on LinkedIn continuing to rise—LinkedIn reported that immersive video views have increased 6x quarter over quarter—we can expect more video-focused updates in the future. These could range from small changes like this to larger rollouts that further integrate video throughout the LinkedIn experience.
