Instagram Makes Reposts More Discoverable on Threads

Threads Reposts

Threads

Instagram has added new features to Reposts on Threads. First, a dedicated tab for Reposts is now available on users' profile pages, allowing them to see all of a user's Reposts. Second, Reposts will now appear in the chronological Following feed, rather than just the For You Feed. Instagram head Adam Mosseri revealed that the updates were made in response to user feedback.

These updates alone will not be enough to regain the engagement that Threads lost after its initial launch, but together with other releases and upcoming search and desktop features, they will certainly help. Making Reposts discoverable on more surfaces can help create a richer content experience and make it easier for users to keep track of posts in real-time, bringing a more similar experience to X's.
