Delta Partners with YouTube to Bring Creator Content and Music to Passengers

Delta

Delta is partnering with YouTube to bring a new in-flight entertainment experience to its customers. As part of the upgrade, the airline will offer YouTube Premium and YouTube Music to SkyMiles loyalty program members, allowing passengers to enjoy ad-free videos, podcasts, and music during their flights. In addition, Delta is also its upgrading its hardware to deliver a high-contrast, theater-like viewing experience.

Why It Matters: This partnership highlights the growing dominance of creator content as a primary entertainment source. With YouTuber’s increasing production of TV-like content, Delta is tapping into this trend by giving passengers access to their favorite creators while flying.

For YouTube, this deal represents an opportunity to increase viewership, offering a new touchpoint for users to engage with its content mid-flight. It’s also a win for creators, podcasters, and publishers who can expand their reach to new audiences and maintain engagement with loyal fans, even when they're traveling.

Creator content is now more accessible than ever, showing up everywhere from mobile devices and streaming platforms to billboards and gas station screens. This shift is powered by platforms like YouTube and TikTok, which are continuously exploring new ways to distribute content across various mediums.
