TikTok Launches Direct Post Integration to Enable Creators and Social Media Mangers Post Directly from Third-Party Apps like Adobe

TikTok launched Direct Post, a new Content Posting API, allowing both creators and social media managers to post videos directly to TikTok from third-party apps.

Once linked to third-party apps, creators can upload videos (with photo content soon to come) through their export workflows. This feature offers the same posting options as within TikTok itself, including adding captions and selecting the target audience. Apps available at launch include Adobe Premiere, Adobe Express, CapCut, Twitch, DaVinci Resolve, and SocialPilot.

Direct Posts expand upon the existing Share to TikTok feature, permitting users, including creators and social media managers, to transfer drafts to TikTok from third-party platforms.

Why it Matters: Direct Post streamlines the workflow for creators and social media managers, simplifying content creation and editing in third-party apps and facilitating direct publication on TikTok. This native publishing option reduces the time and effort required post-video production, potentially leading to increased content output.

Competitors like Meta have heavily relied on integrations like this to increase the volume of content shared on their platforms. It's probable that TikTok will pursue a similar strategy, continually improving its ecosystem by embracing more integrations.
