TikTok Is Testing Link In Bios & Social Commerce Links In Videos
As its popularity continues to increase with both creators and brands, TikTok has continued to test new features and tools.
Twitter user Fabian Bern recently discovered that the ByteDance-owned platform is currently testing the ability for users to add links to their bios and social commerce links in their videos.

Shortly after his discovery, a TikTok spokesperson confirmed the tests, stating the following:
"We’re always experimenting with new ways to improve the app experience for our users. Ultimately, we’re focused on ways to inspire creativity, bring joy, and add value for our community.”
These types of features aren't necessarily new. Instagram currently has similar features that allow users to add a link of their choice to their bio and the ability to link out to products and services via tags in feed posts and Stories content. These have been quite beneficial for users especially influencers as they are able to drive traffic to their own commerce platforms as well as drive purchases on behalf of the brands that they work with.
TikTok’s version of these features has the potential to do the same. Creators are already seeing value in being on the platform due to its creator-friendly approach. If TikTok were to officially roll these out to the masses, it could make the platform even more attractive for creators and brands, giving them the opportunity to monetize their content and following on the platform.
In other TikTok news, the platform recently announced a new partnership with the NFL.
