One of Spotify’s most appealing features is its ability to provide users with what seems like endless playlist options. The popular music streaming service is adding even more firepower to its playlists feature with the launch of Soundtrack Your Ride, a new feature that will create a custom playlist for you to ride out to during your next road trip.

The feature can be accessed via desktop at https://soundtrackyourride.byspotify.com/ and it’s quite easy to use.

First, you select the starting point and the destination of your trip using Google Maps, who the service launched a partnership with back in fall 2019. After that, Spotify will ask you to take a quick quiz featuring questions such as what kind of car you’re driving, who you’re driving with, and what your “drive vibe” is? Next, it will ask you to pick “your ultimate driving song?” from the following six songs:

Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles,” Jason Derulo’s “Ridin’ Solo,” Rascal Flatts’ “Life is a Highway,” Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road,” or “Sucker” by the Jonas Brothers.

Using your responses to these questions as well as your past listening history and habits, Spotify will spurt out a customized playlist that matches the exact length of your upcoming road trip. As with most things today, you have the option to share your playlist with friends and family via social media by clicking a Facebook or Twitter share button.

Although Soundtrack Your Ride isn’t currently accessible in the Spotify mobile app and is somewhat limited when it comes to customizing options, the new playlist feature is sure to be embraced by those who often take road trips and use music as a way to pass the time.

The music streaming wars continues to heat up as Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and SoundCloud continue to launch new features and tool consistently.
