TikTok is expanding its STEM feed to all users in the U.S., U.K., and Ireland. This feed, which displays videos related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, was previously enabled by default for users aged 18 and under.

Now, it will be available to everyone in these regions as a dedicated tab alongside the Following, Shop, and For You feeds.

Why It Matters: This dedicated feed makes it easier for viewers of all ages to find educational content. It also benefits creators and brands producing this type of material by providing a more direct pathway for discovery.

This move is likely a response to criticism the platform has received from regulators regarding the negative impacts of its algorithms and content. As TikTok continues to navigate regulatory challenges and a potential ban in the U.S., it’s leveraging all available options — from new content preferences like Manage Topics to digital campaigns highlighting the positive impact the platform has made for businesses — to improve its image and bolster its case.
