YouTube Adds Poll Stickers for Shorts: Creators Can Now Gather Real-Time Feedback from Their Communities
YouTube has added Poll Stickers for Shorts. Previously, creators could only conduct polls using Community Posts or by asking viewers to vote manually in the comments.
Now, they can add a Poll Sticker directly to their Shorts, featuring two options for viewers to tap and vote. The poll will remain open as long as the Short is published, and creators can see the percentage of votes for each option, along with the exact vote count.
Why It Matters: This feature provides creators with a native way to gather real-time feedback from their communities through Shorts, complementing existing tools like Q&A and Add Yours Stickers. Instead of relying solely on Community Posts or asking viewers to vote in the comments, creators now have a streamlined, integrated method for two-way engagement.
The addition of Polls continues YouTube’s trend of beefing up its short-form offerings with features that mirror those found on TikTok and Instagram Reels.
Recently, YouTube announced other updates for Shorts, including the ability to upload videos up to three minutes long and the introduction of Templates to recreate Shorts from other creators.
