Instagram recently added new features to Threads, including a Following feed. According to a recent post by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, more features are on the way, including "search and web,” which will be available in the coming weeks. While Zuckerberg did not specify the exact functionality, users will likely be able to search for content across the platform using keywords and access and use Threads from the web.

These features are highly anticipated by users and could be strategic for Meta to reverse the dip in app usage since its launch. The ability to search will allow users to find content tailored to their interests rather than solely relying on the For You and Following feeds. Additionally, offering Threads on a web platform provides users with a versatile access point beyond just their mobiles. Given that Threads is text-based, with up to 500 characters allowed per post, many might find crafting longer posts more comfortable from a computer or laptop keyboard compared to mobile devices.
