Pinterest Is Rolling Out ‘Profile Highlights’ To Enable Creators To Display Idea Pins At The Top Of Their Profile
Pinterest is rolling out a new Profile Highlights feature for Idea Pins.
Discovered by Twitter user Yasser Masood, the feature enables creators to display as many as six Idea Pins at the top of their profiles, functioning similarly to Instagram’s Stories Highlights.
Pinterest also confirmed the feature in a statement to Social Media Today, saying:
“Pinterest is an inspiration to realization platform. Creators play a crucial role in that journey acting as personal shoppers, chefs, stylists and overall consultants to our Pinners. Therefore, we continue to evolve our formats, features and tools to help them build a community and to inspire Pinners to take action. Profile highlights are a new way we offer creators to highlight their most relevant Idea Pins at the top of their profile to make them more visible and easier to discover. Creators can add as many as 6 highlight folders with up to 20 Idea Pins each."
Profile Highlights offers creators new ways to share and highlight their most important content. Though Idea Pins do not disappear like traditional Stories formats, creators can use Profile Highlights to increase visibility and discovery for key content. By surfacing the right content, creators can convert people who come across their profiles into followers.
