Meta Launches Breakthrough Bonus Program Offering TikTok Creators Up to $5,000

Meta

Meta is launching a new bonus program called the Breakthrough Bonus Program. The program is designed to help creators new to Facebook and Instagram, including TikTok creators jumpstart their growth on Meta platforms.

Eligible creators can apply to the program, and those accepted will gain access to Facebook’s invite-only Content Monetization program. This program allows creators to earn revenue across various formats, including Reels, long-form videos, photos, and text posts.

Participants can also earn up to $5,000 in extra bonuses within the first 90 days by sharing at least 20 Reels on Facebook and 10 Reels on Instagram during a 30-day bonus period. Additional criteria include sharing content on at least 10 separate days within the bonus period and ensuring all videos are original.

Creators will also receive a trial of Meta Verified, adding further value to the initiative.

Meta also says that it will offer some TikTok creators content deals to “help grow their communities on Instagram and Facebook.”

Why It Matters: Meta’s move to court TikTok creators reflects a strategic effort to attract talent that might be exploring new opportunities following TikTok’s regulatory uncertainty. For creators, the scare surrounding TikTok’s potential ban has prompted a reevaluation of long-term revenue stability.

The Breakthrough Bonus Program provides a strong incentive for creators to invest in Meta platforms by offering quick earning potential and access to monetization tools. While TikTok and Meta present different audience dynamics, diversifying revenue streams across platforms can provide creators with greater financial security and growth opportunities.

By targeting TikTok-native creators and easing their entry into Meta’s ecosystem, the program position can help bring some of TikTok’s best creative talent to Meta, which can be a plus for the platform as well as its users.
