LinkedIn Introduces Messaging for Pages

LinkedIn

LinkedIn has introduced messaging for Pages. When organizations enable this feature, users can message their Pages via a button at the top of the Page.

These messages appear in a dedicated inbox, where Admins can view and respond to them. Pages can also set conversation topics (e.g. Service Requests, Job Inquiries, Requests for Demos, Support) to specify which types of inquiries members can contact them about.

Why It Matters: Page messaging allows members to communicate with organizations for various purposes, such as demo requests, job inquiries, and customer support, directly via LinkedIn, eliminating the need to visit an organization’s website. This not only offers conveniences for members and organizations but can help companies build community on LinkedIn over time.

Given the increased influencer marketing activity on LinkedIn, this feature could also be useful for creators to pitch partnerships with companies, similar to how creators often reach out to brands via DM on Instagram.

Over the past year, there has been a surge in messaging-related updates across social media platforms, including LinkedIn. For example, it recently rolled out an AI writing assistant for messages.
