LinkedIn Adds AI-Generated Stock Images for Cover Photos

Lindsey Gamble

LinkedIn rolled out a custom image gallery for cover photos. U.S. users can now choose from AI-powered stock images provided by Lummi.ai to update their cover image.

Why It Matters: This gives users an additional option beyond uploading their own cover photos. While custom images with text or branding are often the best choice, this feature provides a simple, visually appealing alternative.

This follows LinkedIn’s rollout of dynamic cover images for Premium subscribers and, more recently, Company Pages. With a streak of cover image updates, it’s clear LinkedIn sees them as an important part of the profile experience, so more updates are likely on the way.
