Why It Matters: Cover images have always been a powerful branding tool on LinkedIn, offering users a chance to make a memorable first impression. With this update, LinkedIn is giving users even more room for storytelling. The rotating slideshow allows users to spotlight their expertise, services, accomplishments, and more across multiple images—no longer limited to squeezing everything into one static cover.

By combining the right words and visuals, this feature helps create a strong first impression for profile visitors, giving them a snapshot of the user’s professional identity without having to dig through the entire profile.

This update aligns with LinkedIn's broader push to enhance Premium subscriptions. Recent additions include AI-powered writing tools and Custom Buttons, which enable users to link directly to their websites, services, or newsletters—making Premium more attractive.
