Instagram Rolls Out Grid View Counts to More Users
Lindsey Gamble
Instagram is now showing view counts for both posts and Reels on the grid to more users, a feature that has been appearing for some users over the past few months.
While users can only see view counts for their own posts on the grid, anyone can view the counts for posts in the Reels tab. Creators can hide view counts via their settings, which removes them from their own grid and hides them from others on the Reels tab.
How to Hide View Counts:
Go to Settings
Tap Creator Tools & Controls
Tap View Counts on Profile
Toggle Hide View Counts on (or off)
Why It Matters: This allows creators to quickly track how many views their content has received at a glance, helping them spot performance trends without needing to dive into detailed analytics. The ability to hide view counts also gives creators more control, allowing them to keep this data private or simply choose not to see it for personal reasons.
