Over the past few months, Google has rolled out a number of new features for Google Maps, including Group Planning.

It is now launching a new Facebook Page-like feature in a “Follow” button that will appear on business listings. When a user decides to follow a business, Google Posts' updates from that business will appear in their "For You" tab, which is a feed of personalized recommendations. These updates will include news, such as offers and events relating to that particular business. As a result, users will be able to stay up to date with their favorite businesses.

Along with the "Follow" button, new businesses now have the option to create a free Business Profile, which will show up on users' Maps and Search within 3 months of the business' opening.

As of right now, the “Follow” button is available on the latest version of the app for Android devices.
