Amazon Updates Inspire Shopping Feed with Pinterest-Like Experience

Amazon has updated Inspire, its shopping feed. When tapping the Inspire tab in the Amazon app, users are now taken to a Pinterest-like feed. Users can scroll through this feed, which features a combination of photos, videos, and live streams, all with a featured product overlaid.

They can tap either the content itself or just the product. When tapping the content, users are taken to the original TikTok-like, full-screen vertical feed, where they can scroll through additional content.

Why It Matters: The changes add an extra layer of discovery before users are immersed in the full-screen vertical feed. With this update, Amazon provides users with a snapshot of different types of content and products at a glance through an "Explore" experience. This allows them to explore a wider range of content and products quickly. If something catches their eye, they can dive deeper into it and then seamlessly move through the vertical feed for further discovery.

This update also benefits creators, as it increases the chances of their content getting in front of shoppers, potentially leading to more sales and commissions.

Amazon has been steadily expanding its creator features, including the rollout of a Collages tool for creators to showcase products on their Influencer Storefronts, as well as the ability for them to schedule Shoppable videos.

With the holiday season upon us, these updates will be especially valuable for creators looking to boost their revenue, while also benefiting shoppers who are seeking recommendations and curated content from their favorite creators.
