YouTube Tests New A/B Split Testing Feature for Thumbnails: Test & Compare

YouTube

YouTube is currently testing an A/B split testing feature called Test & Compare for thumbnails. This feature allows creators to compare the performance of three different thumbnails using Watch Time as the key metric in YouTube Studio. Although it is currently in beta, it is being rolled out to a few thousand creators, with plans to make it more widely available later this year.

Testing out different thumbnails has proven to be a successful strategy for some of the top YouTubers, helping them determine what works best in getting audiences to watch their videos. With this native tool, more creators can incorporate A/B testing into their workflow in a more streamlined way and make data-backed decisions to improve video performance.
