YouTube Adds 'Post Activity' Tab to Track Shared Content Across Channel Communities

YouTube quietly added a ‘Post Activity’ tab to the Community tab on mobile. When users view their own channels, they can tap the Post activity tab, which is only visible to them, to see recent content they've shared with other channel communities.

Why It Matters: This update is likely in response to YouTube’s testing of a Reddit-like Community Spaces feature, where creators and their communities can share posts, interact, and have conversations. The ‘Post Activity’ tab allows users to see all the posts they've shared in communities on other channels, all in one place.

It’s similar to how LinkedIn allows users to see all comments they’ve left on other users' posts via the Comments tab on their profile. The key difference is that only users can see their own activity, not others’.

With this addition, users may be encouraged to engage more in channel communities, as they have a clearer view of their contributions and interactions. It also provides an easy way for them to track those contributions and interactions.
