VSCO Announces VSCO For Work To Connect Brands With Creators

VSCO has announced VSCO For Work, a new platform connecting brands and businesses with photographers and creators for paid creative work. It is currently running a pilot program with select customers to gather feedback on the new service.

Why It Matters: VSCO has hinted at supporting creator-brand collaborations since the beginning of 2023. Over the past year, it has made several moves to build up to the new platform, including the recent introduction of new profile features for creators to specify their photography specialization and availability for work.

Today, it is almost a necessity for platforms to play an active role in helping creators monetize. With VSCO for Work, VSCO is filling the gap that previously existed in creator monetization. Since VSCO doesn't have typical reach or engagement metrics, this isn’t about sponsored content. Instead, it provides an opportunity for brands, especially small businesses, to hire creators for on-site photoshoots, product shoots, and licensing existing photos shared on VSCO.
