CLIQZ, a new text messaging platform for creators, recently launched.

CLIQZ is powered by Amplify.ai, a customer engagement platform that was acquired by TrillerNET, the parent company of Triller.

Through CLIQZ, creators can send free text messages to their fans around the world and access a number of growth and engagement tools, including automated private replies to comments, AI-driven conversational engagement, and deep personalization.

Creators also have a chance to monetize through brand activations. Mahi de Silva, the CEO of TrillerNet, says that the platform has received a number of commitments from beauty brands who want to partner with creators for SMS branded content campaigns.

CLIQZ is currently being tested with a few creators including the D'Amelio family, Madi Monroe, and Avani Gregg, as well as rappers Fat Joe and Big Daddy Kane. Creators with large followings on social media who wish to test the platform can apply for consideration via a form.

TrillerNet's entry into text messaging expands its expansive range of platforms, formats, and initiatives for creators and brands to connect with their audiences. The company already supports Short-form video, long-form video, live video, social commerce, and more.

In offering SMS support, Triller wants to differentiate itself from other social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Snapchat, which are all competing to be the number one destination for creators.

Creators' ability to send text messages to their fans also reflects the trend of creators seeking out ways to better engage with their audiences. Like blogs, newsletters, and podcasts, text messages give creators direct access to their supporters without being limited by algorithms or cluttered feeds.

The use of text messaging can be an effective, intimate way for creators to share exclusive content, perks, and experiences with their followers. Open rates are typically high due to the opt-in nature, making it an attractive channel for brands to partner with creators to reach their target audience.

Due to the trend of creators wanting to own their audiences combined with the increasing number of SMS platforms on the market, such as Community, Subtext, Text2Shop, and now CLIQZ, it is likely that more creators will engage directly with their fans through text messages in the coming year.

As more creators integrate SMS into their content strategy, brands will also experiment with SMS as part of their influencer marketing efforts, particularly conversion-focused brands that can provide creators with exclusive offers and discounts.
