Fiverr Launches Inspire, A Pinterest-Like Experience To Increase Discovery & Ideation For Users
Freelance marketplace Fiverr has launched Inspire, a brand-new experience for its mobile app.
Inspire is a Pinterest-like vertical, full-screen feed that features interactive and engaging content such as sample work and projects by Fiverr freelancers. Users can scroll through the feed and like content they enjoy and add content to a mood board or a list to view at a later date.
The content surfaced to users is personalized based on previous searches and purchases as well as related content.
The experience was designed to increase discovery and ideation for users and make it easier for them to fond relevant freelancers and services.
As outlined by the company, the core elements making up Inspire are authenticity, visual discovery, personalization, engaging and interactive, and exploration.
The launch of Inspire comes shortly after the company acquired Stoke Talent, a platform for managing freelance teams, and CreativeLive, an online learning company offering courses on photography, design, marketing, and business.
Inspire fits with the trend of platforms adding personalization to increase discovery and engagement. With Inspire, Fiverr is able to better showcase its plethora of freelancers and connect them with potential customers.
The Great Resignation has prompted both individuals and entities to explore gig work, making Fiverr a key player in the creator economy. With over 4 million buyers on Fiverr and a growing freelance workforce, connecting these two parties is crucial to Fiverr’a long-term success.
Similar to Amazon, Shopify, Big Commerce, Poshmark, and other e-commerce platforms, Fiverr now offers a social media component to foster social commerce, which is a rapidly growing method of buying products and services online.
