TikTok Testing A Collaboration Feature Similar To Instagram's Collabs That Lets Creators Collaborate On Posts
TikTok is currently testing a Collaborations feature similar to Instagram's Collabs.
The feature allows creators to invite up to five accounts to collaborate on a post. Once the invitation is accepted, the creators are listed as collaborators, and the post appears on all their profiles, marked with a 'Collabs' icon.
Collaborations is currently available for select creators in certain regions. Recently, Will Smith used this feature to introduce his new Westbrook Racing team.
Why It Matters: Collaborations offer creators and brands a powerful way to expand the reach of their posts by tapping into their combined audiences. For instance:
Creators collaborating on videos can seamlessly distribute the content across all their profiles, eliminating the need for separate postings.
New brands on TikTok can debut by teaming up with creators for shared posts, making it easier for their viewers to follow the brand account.
When integrated into influencer marketing campaigns, this can boost sponsored content performance and enable brands to seamlessly repurpose creator content in real-time.
