TikTok has partnered with KnoCommerce and Fairing to introduce post-purchase surveys to their advertising and measurement tools. Brands can add these surveys to their e-commerce platform, such as Shopify. When someone makes a purchase or signs up, the survey will pop up on the confirmation page, asking them questions about how they found the brand, why they visited the site, who they're buying for, and more.

These surveys are beneficial because they give brands a deeper look into the customer's buying process. While there are many ways brands track and understand customer behavior – like using conversion pixels, promo codes, and sales studies – these methods don't capture everything. Post-purchase surveys give direct feedback from customers. Brands can find out where their customers found them, how long it took them to buy something, and which marketing channels work best.

For brands collaborating with content creators, using post-purchase surveys is an excellent idea. Customers don't always buy products immediately after seeing them in a creator's content. This means the connection between the creator's promotion and the purchase can be missed. With these surveys, brands can see how much influence creators have on their customers. If brands notice that creators make a big difference, they might choose to work with them more often.
