TikTok Now Allows Creators to Download Posts Without Watermarks

Jonah Manzano

TikTok has started rolling out the option for creators to save/download their videos and photos without a watermark. The option is currently available for some creators in the "More Options" section of the post-upload workflow. Creators already have the ability to download their TikToks, but they include a watermark.

Now, with the option to download their content without the watermark, creators can more easily download and repurpose that content across other platforms. With many platforms, like Instagram, downranking videos that include watermarks, this new functionality allows creators to optimize the performance of content from TikTok that they download and repurpose elsewhere.

Recently, Instagram rolled out the ability for creators to allow others to download their Instagram Reels. Pinterest also recently reminded creators that they have the ability to easily download their Pins to repurpose them. Allowing users, whether creators or viewers, to download content and share it elsewhere is a current trend among social media platforms.
