To kick the week off, Pinterest announced a new feature in Pinterest Shop, a place for users to discover small businesses and shop their products.

Curated by Pinterest itself, Pinterest Shop features hundreds of shoppable Product Pins from 17 different small businesses including The Citizenry, Etta + Billie, CurlMix, Stasher, and more. According to the platform, these businesses sell products that "you won't find at every other box store on the block."

Pinterest plans on expanding this list of small businesses in the near future. Small businesses that are interested in being featured in Pinterest Shop can submit their stories for consideration here.

With Small Business Saturday (November 30th) less than a week away and the holiday shopping already here, this feature comes at the perfect time.

The launch of it is the platform's latest move to strengthen its e-commerce capabilities. It's also in line with the recent trend that we've seen with social media platforms in trying to provide curated or personalized shopping experiences. Instagram recently launched a curated collection of products for the holidays that was inspired by this year's top trends on the app.
