LinkedIn Video Viewership is Up 36% Year-Over-Year

LinkedIn

During Microsoft’s latest earnings call, it revealed that weekly immersive video views have increased 6x quarter-over-quarter, and total video viewership on LinkedIn is up 36% year-over-year.

This follows the previous quarter, where Microsoft reported that video was the fastest-growing format on LinkedIn and that video uploads on LinkedIn had risen 34% year-over-year.

LinkedIn’s Video Efforts are Paying Off

These numbers show that LinkedIn’s investments in video are paying off. This year, it launched two major video-focused features: a dedicated Video tab and Videos For You that have video content a bigger part of the LinkedIn experience.

Opportunities for Video Creators & Marketers

All this represents a massive opportunity for those sharing video content on LinkedIn right now. With a low-supply, high-demand environment for video, LinkedIn’s prioritization of video content, and broader video trends, short-form video on LinkedIn is reminiscent of the early days of TikTok and Instagram Reels—offering early adopters enhanced reach and visibility.
