LinkedIn Tests Integration with AI-Powered Design Platform Microsoft Designer

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is doing a limited test of integration with Microsoft Designer, an AI-powered design platform. This integration is available through a "Design" option on the sharebox when using LinkedIn on a desktop computer. Now, users can create designs and graphics using text descriptions and existing images.

There are various ways users can generate these designs. They can simply type a few sentences to describe the design they have in mind, choose from a selection of existing image prompts to create similar designs, upload their own images for personalized designs, generate realistic images and art based on text descriptions, or even start from scratch using prompts to add templates, rich media elements, text, and brand kits.

Creators now have an easy and convenient way to add visuals, such as promotional graphics or illustrations, to their posts without having to leave LinkedIn or rely on other design apps like Adobe and Canva. By incorporating visual elements into their posts, they can make their content stand out in the feed and drive more engagement.

This integration supports LinkedIn's recent efforts around introducing more visual content to the platform and harnessing the power of generative AI. For instance, they have previously introduced features like Templates and options to highlight photos and videos more prominently. Additionally, they've rolled out other AI-powered tools like Draft With AI and a Profile Writing Tool, which seem to have been made available more broadly this week.
