LinkedIn / Scheduled Posts Editing

LinkedIn rolled out the ability to edit scheduled posts. Users can now make changes to posts they have scheduled, which previously wasn’t possible. Additionally, they can adjust the timing of those scheduled posts.

Why It Matters: The ability to edit scheduled posts is a feature that should have been available from the start. But, as they say, better late than never. With this update, creators gain more flexibility and control, allowing them to easily modify both the content and timing of scheduled posts without needing to create a new one.

This new capability will be especially valuable for creators sharing video content on the platform. Recent updates, such as the "Videos For You" carousel in the feed, highlight LinkedIn's increased focus on video content, with some creators already seeing positive results. For those with a large archive of video content, the ability to schedule and edit posts as needed can help jumpstart their LinkedIn video strategy and maintain a steady content cadence, all while allowing for adjustments along the way.

LinkedIn has reported that video content is the fastest-growing content format on the platform, with a 34% increase in video uploads. Video content is also outperforming other types of content, generating 1.4x more engagement. Based on these, LinkedIn looks like it will be developing into a valuable destination for video content, like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube, especially with B2B audiences.
