LinkedIn has added the ability to save draft messages. When users start crafting a message, it will automatically be saved in a new "Drafts" section, accessible via a filter next to the inbox search bar.

Why It Matters: LinkedIn has been steadily enhancing its messaging capabilities. Notable updates include a Starred option to mark important messages, expanding the AI Writing Assistant to messages, and enabling messaging for Company Pages.

Though a minor update, draft message support adds value by allowing users to save and revisit unfinished messages. Previously, unsent messages would disappear, forcing users to start over from scratch.

This feature also makes it easier to distinguish draft messages from other inbox content. For those who rely heavily on LinkedIn for networking, these incremental improvements can make a meaningful difference over time.
