Kevin Durant and Thirty Five Media are partnering with YouTube

Kevin Durant Thirty 5 Media

Last year, Kevin Durant launched a YouTube channel featuring videos of him working out, answering questions from fans, doing charity work, and much more. The channel was launched in collaboration with the Golden State Warriors' Thirty Five Media company. Founded by Rich Kleiman and himself, it is a creative development company that helps other high-profile athletes launch their own dedicated YouTube channels.

Thanks to the success of Durant's channel, which has racked up over 18 million views while gaining nearly 600,000 subscribers in less than a year,  Durant and his company are partnering up with YouTube to produce more original sports content as well as launch and build channels for athletes like Richard Sherman, Karl-Anthony Towns, JaVale McGee, and Nick Young.

“I’ve had an incredible experience on YouTube engaging with fans all around the world and sharing different parts of my life,” Durant said in a press release. “It was natural for me to want to show other athletes what they can achieve on YouTube and to ensure my Thirty Five Media team and I can be a resource for those athletes.”

This partnership with YouTube is the latest in a number of off-field ventures for the reigning NBA Finals MVP. He also has investments in Pieology, Acorns, and The Players Tribune.

He certainly has plenty of basketball left to play but when he does decides to hang it up, he won't have trouble staying busy.
