Google Flights can now predict when flights are delayed
There aren't too many things more stressful than a flight being delayed. Google is hoping to take away some of that stress with a update to its Google Flights app.
Using historic flight status data, knowledge of current conditions, and machine learning algorithms, Google Flights can now predict flight delays that haven't been flagged by airlines. If it thinks there is more than an 80% chance of a flight being delayed, it will flag the flight and predict a reason for why it's being delayed such as bad weather or
Users can track the status of their flight by searching for the flight number or the airline and flight route.
In other Google news, the company is piloting a new service called Bulletin that crowdsources local news.
