WordPress Adds Generative AI Feature with Jetpack AI Assistant
WordPress, the website builder, has added generative AI features to its editor through a new AI plug-in called Jetpack AI Assistant. Users can generate content using text prompts, such as a blog post, summarize a blog post in a header, and adjust the tone of text, among other things. This move comes just a few weeks after Squarespace launched its own set of generative features, Squarespace Blueprint and Squarespace AI, to help users build a website from scratch by answering questions and creating content like blog posts.
The entrance of these two major website platforms into the generative AI space is a clear sign of how mainstream the technology has become. While the content generation features are similar to those offered by ChatGPT, the convenience of having them integrated into the publishing experience is helpful. Users can generate content directly where it will be published. Squarespace Blueprint, with its stronger AI capabilities, may be a game changer. While it is already easy to create a website by dragging and dropping templates, being able to answer questions and get a website created in a few minutes makes it even easier.
On another note, many creators are using link-in-bio tools like Linktree, Link.inbio, and Bio.sites instead of traditional websites. This means that generative AI may soon be integrated into link-in-bio tools, allowing creators to set up their pages with just a few text prompts. fdfg
