Starbucks and Spotify to offer limited-edition gift cards featuring Chance The Rapper, Lady Gaga, and Metallica, and will donate to their charities
Starbucks and Spotify are teaming up to offer three limited-edition gift cards featuring Chance the Rapper, Lady Gaga, and Metallica. These music heavyweights have charities that benefit youth empowerment, education, and veterans, respectively, and as part of Starbucks' Give Good holiday campaign, Starbucks and Spotify will donate a total of $1 million divided among the charities.
Starbucks and Spotify are encouraging consumers to show their support to the charities by purchasing the limited-edition gift cards, which will be available starting tomorrow (November 28th) at participating company-operated U.S. Starbucks stores. Consumers who purchase or receive the card as a gift are also eligible for a Spotify Premium trial offer.
The charities that Starbucks and Spotify will support are the following:
Chance The Rapper's SocialWorks: Through SocialWorks, Chance The Rapper helps empower youth through the arts, education, and civic engagement in his hometown of Chicago. He has raised more than $2.2 million for Chicago Public Schools.
Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation: Lady Gaga supports the wellness of young people and empower them to build a kinder, braver world through Born This Way Foundation. Some of her most notable initiatives include Hack Harassment, an effort to fight online harassment and provide safer, more inclusive online experiences and inspirED, an online tool to foster more positive and collaborative learning environments.
Metallica's All Within My Hands Foundation: With All Within My Hands Foundation, Metallica supports a variety of charities including The Mission Continues, a non-profit organization that supports and empowers veterans adjusting to life at home to find purpose through community impact.
