Nike Training Club Rolls Out A Version Of Its App For Apple Watch
Nike Training Club (NTC), one of the best fitness apps out there today, has announced that it is rolling out a version of its app specifically for Apple Watch. The new version comes as a result of the company receiving feedback from athletes about their dislike for having to continually refer to their phones in the midst of a workout session.
You will still have to start your Nike Training Club workout on the phone however, after it begins, the Apple Watch app can guide you through the entire workout. The app will display the time or reps left for a particular exercise as well as your heart rate, calories burned, and other exercise statistics all from the convenience of your wrist.
A specific app for Apple Watch was long overdue so it's great to see that Nike has finally gotten around to it. As a big fan of the Nike Training Club app and an Apple Watch user, I'm excited to see how much more efficient my workouts will be. Like the athletes that Nike received feedback from, I too felt the one downfall of the app was the need to have to refer to your phone to know how much time was left for an exercise or what the next move was. By eliminating the phone app, for the most part, you should be able to focus more and get the most out of your workouts.
Available now, the Apple Watch app supports all workouts that are currently available on the iOS app. If you don't have the app yet, you can download it here.
