LinkedIn Launches Redesigned Sharing Experience for a More Personalized and Private Way to Share Posts

LinkedIn has launched a redesigned sharing experience that offers a more personalized and private way for users to share posts.

What’s New

Now, when users tap the Share button, an updated tray appears with options to Repost, Repost With Your Thoughts, or 'Send as a message' directly to selected connections. Users can also quickly access frequent contacts for streamlined sharing, with additional options to share via link, email, WhatsApp, and more.

Making Sharing Easier and More Flexible

With these subtle changes, LinkedIn is making it easier for users to share posts they come across in their feeds — whether it’s reposting to their own connections, sending posts to others, or sharing outside of LinkedIn.

Aligning with Broader Trends Toward Private Sharing

These updates, which allow users to share posts directly with specific connections, align with broader social media trends where users increasingly seek more private and intimate sharing experiences, like direct messaging.

Instagram has been at the forefront of this trend, even adjusting its ranking system to weigh content shared through direct messages more heavily, acknowledging the shift toward private content interactions.
