Kick

Kick launched a new Content Preferences feature that allows viewers to disable streams for specific categories such as Pools, Hot Tubs, Bikinis, and Slots & Casino. Gambling-related live streams make up a significant part of the platform's content, which is not surprising given that the platform is owned by Stake.

While some creators and their followers have migrated to Kick for this type of content from Twitch, the ability for viewers to avoid exposure to certain types of content they are uninterested in shows that Kick is also mindful of the viewer experience. As Kick seeks to attract advertisers to drive revenue, it will likely introduce more moderation features like this to foster a more brand-friendly environment.

On a similar note, Twitch has recently introduced Content Classification Labels, a feature for streamers to indicate when their streams feature mature themes.
